Regardless of your feelings about having a Naval Air Station in our back yard, one thing is clear: NAS Whidbey is the backbone of our county’s economy. The Navy’s plans regarding deployment of the new P-8A Squadrons affect the future of 2,000 local jobs. Angie will hold a briefing about her recent visit with Navy officials in Washington, D.C. from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 in Oak Hall Room 306 at Skagit Valley College’s Oak Harbor campus.
